"I was enjoying myself now. I had taken two finger bowls of champagne and the scene had changed before my eyes into something significant, elemental and profound"
("The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald)
CRAZY RICH is inspired by the extraordinary novel “The Great Gatsby” by the American novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald. The book explores themes of idealism and excess and portrays the exuberant feeling of the Roaring Twenties.
Like opening an expensive bottle of sparkling champagne, the top notes pop with a sensation of mandarin essential oil and joyful accords of green apple mingled with elegant accents of violet leaves.
Then a sophisticated mélange of luminous sambac jasmine together with bright geranium petals and ubiquitous Bulgarian rose enchants like a magic spell.
Reminiscent of lively music, the base notes add harmony with sensual Australian sandalwood, musk and exotic ylang ylang.

The biggest challenge working on “CRAZY RICH” was to make sure the opulence of the creation would come through right from the top note to the last throughout the fragrance. I was creating this composition to be exuberant & decidedly in excess. I was greatly inspired by having lived on LONG ISLAND N.Y. for almost 30 years and I could therefore visualize the setting for the “GREAT GATSBY” thus transforming this into an olfactive rendition of that visual.
